Portland’s underground hip-hop scene just got a serious upgrade with Vocab Slick’s latest drop “Jewelz,” featuring the multitalented Starski. This guitar-driven banger, produced by Surebert and Chef Boyz, seamlessly blends old-school vibes with contemporary flair.
The track showcases Starski’s melodic hooks paired with Vocab Slick’s razor-sharp wordplay, delivering quotable bars like “Admit it, I’m a hard act to follow / Try and swallow that false bravado / Same worth as a false Movado.” But it’s not just about the bars – the visual treatment takes this joint to another level.
Starski pulls double duty as both featured artist and director, crafting a three-minute cinematic experience that pays homage to cult classics. The narrative follows what seems to be a simple meal that spirals into an exploration of LA’s darker side, leaving viewers with the burning question: what’s really in that mysterious case?
