Rising from Oceanside, California, artist John Givez has returned to the music scene with a new song called “STAND.”
The fast-rising music act, who was initially known for his unique rap style, has transcended towards R&B, and he’s killing it there! His kind of music draws inspiration from real-life issues in his life or things he experienced during his journey and growth.
Growing up in a Northern San Diego neighborhood, John Givez experienced several scenarios in this video. These horrific occurrences shaped his resolve to use music as a medium to let out steam and express himself.
His most significant musical influences are Tupac, Mac Dre, DMX, Q-Tip, OutKast and E-, DMX, Q-Tip, OutKast, and E-40. Though underground, John Givez has been in the limelight since 2015 when he first went viral with the video of his song “Get a bar of tha side,” which was released to promote his second EP, “Soul Rebel.”
