Chicago singer-songwriter Journei Eloise creates contemporary R&B for listeners who have loved deeply and felt every part of it. Her warm, expressive voice blends neo-soul intimacy with a modern edge, allowing vulnerability and quiet confidence to exist within the same emotional space.
On “Godspeed,” Journei explores the tender side of letting go. The title carries both affection and finality, capturing the difficult moment when caring for someone no longer means holding onto them. Her emotionally honest approach makes the song feel searching and personal rather than overly dramatic.
Released through independent Chicago label Black Bag LLC, “Godspeed” complements the bolder attitude of “YA SHXT OUTSIDE.” Together, the songs reveal Journei’s range, from wishing someone well through unresolved emotion to firmly standing in her worth.
