Northern California artist Ice Meez has spent more than a decade building a career through consistency, regional relationships, and music that has reached everything from film to commercial placements. On “I Been,” that persistence meets a defining opportunity—one that began with a trip to Detroit and came full circle back in the Bay Area.
Flown out by Tee Grizzley for a studio session, Ice Meez recorded the track at Royal House Recording Studio with producer HudsonMadeIt and engineer Julian Suleiman. The result is a polished, mid-tempo record balancing West Coast ease with a modern hip-hop bounce. After hearing it, Tee Grizzley encouraged Meez to think bigger and suggested filming the visual at the Golden Gate Bridge.
Meez followed through. The video moves directly from the Detroit studio to San Francisco, turning advice into execution and linking two cities inside one story. More than a confident record, “I Been” captures what can happen when preparation finally meets access—and an artist knows exactly what to do with the moment.
