“I don’t feel anymore love, lately we’ve been fighting a lot, all these arguments got me feeling uptight, shi* I’m losing my mind…”
– quote from “I Wanna Get F’d Up”
Asian-American singer, songwriter, and rapper Star2 revealed his latest song titled “I Wanna Get F’d Up,” featuring acclaimed artist Luh Kel. In the track, he blends pop, R&B, and hip hop to convey the message of heartbreak, abandonment, and disillusionment.
The cinematic visual for “I Wanna Get F’d Up” paints the scene of a painful relationship dynamics that is highly relatable. When speaking on it, Star2 said, “Making this video with Luh Kel was dope as hell. We used CGI (computer-generated imagery) with a green screen to make Luh Kel’s car fly and to make me fall hundreds of feet backwards off a cliff into the ocean – swimming underwater. This song is for everyone who has been done wrong in a relationship and just wants to get f’d up. Even though it’s hard because you really love that one person – there is at least one time for everyone when after a breakup you just want to be gone – gone from the universe.”
Raised in unfortunate circumstances, Star2 takes influence from overcoming his life struggles and incorporates it into his music, delivering bold, high-spirited, and soulful work as a result. As a teen, he turned to music with diverse influences from Justin Bieber, Tyga, Chris Brown and developed his style with winning hooks, rich harmonies, and progressive R&B soundscapes.
Since 2020, Star2 has released a series of singles and captivated his audience with a blend of music that rings true and respected. His talent is undeniable.
