“Rich forever, everyday we pray the same prayer, wealth is right, poverty wrong, “F” what dem saying, bredda…”
– quote from “Rich Forever”
Jamaican multitalented artist Jesse Royal recently released a visual for “Rich Forever” featuring dancehall “World Boss” Vybz Kartel. This track comes from Jesse’s latest album, “Royal,” and delivers the message that riches reside in hard work in faith, not only physical objects.
The video, directed by Xtreme Art, was hot in the hills of Kingston, Jamaica, and portrays Jesse as King Midas, who turns rags to riches by his touch. Speaking on the visual, Xtreme said, “We both collectively with Romeich came up with the concept of the Midas touch. Midas touch is simply uplifting someone’s life with a single touch. Everyone deserves to look and feel like they are the best at their job or who they are as a person. We all are rich in some way, not just money but mostly, in love.”
Jesse explains, “The song is a conversation about the restoration of our royalty, reclaiming dignity. We must always be our brothers’ keeper, and you don’t leave your brother in the mud.”
