Bella Kelly Releases Music Video for “Throat”

Bella Kelly

“You play the role of an angel pretty well, but I can tell you came straight outta hell…”

– quote from “Throat”

Versatile hop-hop/pop artist Bella Kelly released the music video for her single “Throat.” The track is somewhat an “oddball” on Bella’s list, as her other songs are very different.

“Throat” is about anxiety – the whole thing is a metaphor. Anxiety chokes you, hence the hands on the throat. Kelly used her rich imagination to make an emotional escape through song.

The dark horror-themed visual was directed by Vicente Cordero, who helped Bella with the details, location, props, and scenes. He made her ideas come about throughout lockdown restrictions. Laney Chantal made the “demon hand” with a kitchen glove, paper tissue, and latex, which put the icing on the cake.

Bella is like a chameleon who changes her look daily, going from extreme and anything in between. Her style represents her growth in confidence and strength as she saw her ideas and poems come to life.
