“Come play for tonight, I’m your girl next door. Come see me tonight, it’s the girl next door …”
– quote from “Playboy”
Natalie is back with a poppy new track in her string of eclectic singles titled “Playboy.” She pushes outside of her comfort zone with a blend of modern production and Y2K vocal engineering. The song is a queer summer anthem, perfect for the club or a kiki.
When speaking on the song, Natalie said, “Playboy was the first song I recorded with my normal voice singing about other women, it was liberating. It’s like why haven’t I been doing this for the past three years.”
Before stepping out as a music artist, Natalie lived in Chicago and produced for others. Initially, she was uncomfortable recording her voice, so she experimented heavily with her vocals and pitch.
