“Chase green, like leprechaun, only I’m on is a trappathon…”
– quote from “No Lie”
Rapper and TV show personality Scrapp DeLeon releases his brand new single, “No Lie.”
Scrapp Deleon has been cooking up some delicious meals for his fans in the studio, and now the delectable dish, “No Lie,” has been served. This track is the truth. With rhythmic trap beat and mid-tempo R&B chords, Scrapp Deleon expertly and passionately drops tight hot bars. He tells the truth about his life, struggles, and hustle to where he is present.
Scrapp’s official debut into the music industry was in the early 2000s as a member of the rap group Da Razkalz Cru. The group consisted of him, his brother Sas, and cousin Dolla. Da Razkalz Cru worked closely with artists like BattleCat, Missy Elliot, Jazzie Pha, Akon, and Diddy. They also went on a tour with hip-hop group B2K. Scrapp Deleon continued to make music after the disbandment of Da Razkalz Cru. In 2010, he featured in Llyod’s Southern Xposure 8 album on the track “The World Is Mine.”
Apart from music, Scrapp Deleon featured on the show Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta initially as a recurring member and eventually as a prominent cast member. The show portrays him building up his career as he works on unreleased music in the studio and as Sas’s manager.
After his release from prison, Deleon became an outspoken advocate for prison reform. This stems from his own experiences during the five years he was in prison. Scrapp Deleon, in 2019, partnered with Atlanta rapper TI to post bail for 23 prisoners, and they were able to spend that Easter out of bars. He has also worked with prominent activists like Cynthia Brown, speaking on panels about the importance of assisting ex-convicts transition back to the normal workforce after their release from prison.
Scrapp Deleon admits that making music has been his number one goal in life. The best way to celebrate his birthday is to drop “No Lie” for his loving and supportive fans and to perform shows in his city during the NBA All-Star Weekend.
