Prophet Releases New Single “Close Up”

Prophet just released an upbeat hip-hop jam titled “Close Up”, which was produced by Tobi Aitch x Dvtchie. The track is accompanied by a video clip in which Prophet and his friends are having a good time, drinking, and just chilling in front of a convenience store at a gas station and car shop. In some shots of a car shop, Prophet spit some hot rap bars as his friends stand around him. The song has a catchy, groovy rhythm that is easy to vibe to, in addition to the smooth sound of Prophet’s voice. His lyrics and style are so real and relatable to his audience.

With over 118 thousand views on YouTube and multiple streaming on other online platforms, “Close Up” is a successful hit.

Prophet was born in Mount Vernon, New York. He is of Haitian descent and fully represents his roots. He moved to Newark when he was 10 years old and currently is one of the rapidly rising stars in the music scene from Newark. Prophet started rapping at the age of 15, and when he had to move to the southern part of Newark at 16 because things weren’t going too well, he quickly adopted.

Prophet has been putting himself out there, giving to his family, the community, and the zoe’s (Haitians worldwide). His sound is unique, and his art is versatile. He has been working very hard to get his music out there in the world of hip-hop. Ever since the release of his single, “Irregular,” Prophet has grown in the industry, establishing a rapidly growing fan base from around the world.
