“My wrist drip drop, that’s a new time piece. Don’t do flip flops. These some new Nikes, all my kicks hot…”
– quote from “Friend Zone”
Lvl One Hero is taking a jab at people stuck in the friend zone with his latest track he titles “Friend Zone”.
Toronto based Jamaican singer, rapper and songwriter Lvl One Hero is out to taunt some guys who cannot seem to get the ladies they want but instead get relegated to the “Friend Zone”.
Ahead of his anticipated debut album “Heroic Dose”, Lvl One Hero is giving us a taste of what he is preparing in the studio at the moment and this one is a track with confidence, swagger all packaged in a smug delivery.
“Friend Zone” tells a story of Lvl One Hero getting all the women other men are unable to get at his beck and call and he announces it with every atom of pride.
Lvl One Hero delivered the melodious track over bass drums, acoustic guitars and a piano. The visuals for the song was filmed by Grant Willour and edited by Marcus Letts; Hero and his co-star Danielle Porter shot among the Desert Mountains and streets of Los Angeles.
Hero’s charisma stands out all through his delivery as he sheds light on his relationship with the ladies even going ahead to brag about his wealth, his Mercedes rides as well as Gucci stocking his wardrobe.
In every sense of the word, “Friend Zone” is an interesting blend of hot lyrics, smooth delivery and cinematic visuals.
Lvl One Hero has kept his fans loving him with every delivery especially since his single “All These Drugs” received massive love and acceptance with over 30 thousand views on YouTube, features in magazines, No Jumper’s Soundcloud playlist as well as Spotify’s Northern Bars.
Ever since he opened up for NAV & 88Glam, Hero continues to develop and evolve in his sound and delivery as he grows into an artist that we look forward to seeing and hearing more from especially within the hip-hop, Alternative and Emo Rap genre.
