Talented urban artist, songwriter and producer Hunnid has dropped a brand new single “Lonely At The Top”.

The award winning artist from Chicago once again put his diversity and talent to play with this track that cuts across genres from rap to hip-hop to R&B.

Featuring the musical talent Streetz for the second time after “Like That”, they bring to life a blend of powerful lyrics, smart flow with top notch delivery in a fusion of old school hip-hop and rock that creates the best symphony you can find right now.

The track features a sample of “Eleanor Rigby” by the Beatles, an awesome upbeat second verse by Streetz and wonderful performance by Hunnid as they tell about how life can get lonely at the top even if you are at the top of your game. The song is so dope you can literally feel it getting into your soul.

Talking about the idea behind the song, Hunnid says “I just wanted to defy the concept of it being lonely at the top. It’s crazy how this track started as an ode for Streetz and I. Now, that’s a tribute to him, long live Streetz”. Well, he defied a lot of concepts with this one even as he shows off his amazing talent not only as a songwriter but a singer and lyricist.

Tracing not only his stage name but also the beginning of his musical journey to his less than average upbringing, Hunnid was born and raised in Chicago by a single mom who worked hard to take care of him and taught him the benefit of strong work ethics at a young age. A friend nicknamed him “Hunnid” after the neighborhood where he lived, which was wrought with crime and poverty and people often called “The Wild, Wild Hundreds”.

Hunnid

With an early talent in poetry writing, Hunnid first became recognized as a musical talent in high school when he began dropping heavy freestyles over beats made simply with the fists of his school mates against the lunch table. He has so far grown into a maker of hit songs, a business man and unique independent artist in the industry even as he steps up to make a name for himself and stand as the voice of the underrepresented and voiceless people.

Hunnid is a one man army who believes in doing it all by himself from music production to marketing and bookings. He has often expressed that he would rather bear full responsibility for his success than leave them in the hands of someone else.

With lots of great works that show his talent, originality and diversity such as tracks like “Up That”, “Drip Too Hard”, “Buss That”, “Black Queen”, it is no wonder that his music has won him an award, recognitions and lots of accolades.
