The Detroit born, Florida based rapper has lived and loved music since age six and was influenced by the likes of Ludacris, Biggie, and Jay Z. He has opened for Wiz Khalifa and performed alongside Big Sean, Twista, Mystikal and more.

His first big break in the industry came through Miami promoter Carlos Saavedra when he released his debut mixtape “I’m So Major”, which received wide listenership, heavy accolades and featured on many hip- hop sites. By 2011, “I’m So Major” made #1 rating on Facebook.

Major D-Star released “I’m So Major 2” in 2015 and was hosted by DJ Smallz and Slim Dunkin with over 165,000 views and downloads.

Some other singles by Major D-Star include “Dreams of Being Rich” and “Rather Be” and they have both gained over 60k streams on Spotify and over 400k listens and views.

In 2017, his “Solo” single from his Motown Sound project hit the streets with a bang as he raps about the tightness of his team and his seemingly distrust for persons outside his circle as well as his desire to “ride solo”.

Always known for his statement songs, in 2018 he released his music video “Dream Come True” directed by Magic where he talks about making his dreams a reality, providing a comfortable life for his family, and living the good life. In June 2019, Major released the official video “Stack Pray & Stay Out the Way” from Trap Star LP where he says that “God’s got him” even as he goes on getting the bag.

Nothin To Do Wit Dat

With his latest release “Nothin To Do Wit Dat” Major D-Star reminds his fans about his love for truth and realness. He recalls his earlier days in the industry and tells how the things that used to inspire him no more exist. “I remember I used to look up to rap; now it’s too fake…. I ain’t used to that”, he raps in this first verse.

Major D-Star tells about the life he had led even up till this moment in the track, even as he calls out other artists who have taken out truth and facts from their music.

Major D-Star is having “Nothin To Do Wit” anything less than originality and reality in his album “Trap Star” produced under Driven Musik records.

Anticipations are already high even as he works on releasing a new project “Major Payne” in December 2019.
