Megan Thee Stallion is Houston’s hottest female rapper at the moment as she’s taken her fans on a thrilling ride with her rap career. The 24-year-old made waves in the rap industry since her online appearances a few years ago. She has hit the world with her debut album “Fever”, which was released May 17, 2019 via 300 Entertainment.
The female rapper has often been defined as “banging hot”, owing to both her music and her sex appeal, especially as she freely expresses herself with body movements both on stage and in music videos. On the other hand, she has also received criticism because of the forceful nature of her music as well as her tendency to rap about sex and money – criticisms that she is unapologetic about.
Megan’s musical career was largely influenced by her mother Holly Thomas, also known as rapper Holly-Wood, who she often accompanied to recording sessions. “My mom is the first female rapper I’ve ever known. I’m thinking, like, Okay, yeah, this is normal. Everybody’s doing this,” she expressed in one of her interviews.
She started off as a freestyle rapper at college parties while she studied for a degree, then moved on to making radio appearances and later released mixes with her mother as her manager. The rapper recently confirmed the death of her mother, who was one of her biggest inspirations, on May 22, 2019.
Megan Thee Stallion made a breakout with freestyles followed by her 10 song EP “Tina Snow” released in June 2018. She became the very first woman to get signed onto 300 Entertainment and “Fever” is her first project with them.
On the eve of her album release, Megan made an introduction to the new album with a music video titled “Realer” and it was premiered by Zane Lowe on the Beats 1 Radio Show.
The recently released “Fever” is a 14 track album with lead single “Sex Talk”. Nearly all tracks are solo except for those with Juicy J and DaBaby. Some of the tracks include “Dance”, “Best You Ever Had”, “Money Good”, and “Sex Talk”.
