Since the beginning of America’s biggest hip-hop festival, Rolling Loud Miami, there has been lots of drama and controversy making the headlines, and from the look of things, it seems like we should brace up and expect some more.
DaBaby Throws Bags of “Weed” into the Crowd
On the first day of the festival, rapper DaBaby was seen throwing pounds of weed into the crowd while performing his hit track “Gorilla Glue”.
The “Baby on Baby” rapper, who was controversial for wearing giant diapers as a way of propagating his name Baby, has however cleared the air about the controversy, stating that what he threw into the crowd was packs of fake weed.
The Charlotte, North Carolina rapper, while sharing an Instagram post from one of the fans who picked up the fake weed wrote, “Got yo MF ass & all of them bitched was fake weed when he open em up, he gone hate me. Now imagine how ni**as used to feel when I sold em dat shit for 3200.”
Kodak Black Arrested on the Way to Rolling Loud Miami for Fire Arms Violation
Rapper Kodak Black did not have a great time on the way to the Rolling Loud Hip-Hop Festival, as he was arrested for what US Marshal described in a press release as firearms-related charges.
The rapper was arrested somewhere near Niagara Falls, New York, last month on weapon charges as he entered the United States from Canada. He had also been arrested for several allegations including drug and weapon possession, sexual assault, armed robbery, probation violation, and evading arrest.
Lil Wayne Opts Out of the Festival
In the wake of Kodak Black’s arrest, Rap Star Lil Wayne refused to perform at the Rolling Loud Festival after officers searched him at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens – the venue of the music fiesta.
Lil Wayne, who was billed to be a headliner at the music festival, posted a series of tweets in which he apologized to his fans and all the people who came to see him perform at the festival. He said he was backing out of the show because the Festival Police made it mandatory that he should be searched, and he wouldn’t allow himself to be policed around while doing his job.
