Yesterday, April 30th, a superior court judge in Van Nuys sentenced rapper Soulja Boy to 240 days in prison for violation of his 2014 weapons probation. The rapper, who was also slammed with 264 hours of community service, is currently locked up at the Men’s Central Prison in Los Angeles.
The report states that the judge was at the verge of giving the rapper a two year jail term, but later changed his mind after considering the business opportunities he has missed. The judge also declared that the 28-year-old will also be credited to have already served 40 days jail term.
Soulja Boy was arrested in April for non compliance to his community service demands, and authorities brought evidence to show that he tried to forge paperwork, claiming to have fulfilled the community service hours, which he didn’t.
